This privacy policy describes how Certichron treats the personal information of our registered users.
Scope: What This Privacy Policy Covers
This privacy policy covers how Certichron treats personal information that Certichron collects and receives on the Certichron Web sites at Certichron.com and USTiming.org. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number.
Children under 13 are not permitted to use Certichron services, and so this privacy policy makes no provision for children's use of the site.
Information Collection and How the Collected Information Is Used
General Information
Certichron collects personal information when you register with Certichron either to use Certichron services or to post content on Certichron. When you register we may ask for your email address and other personal information such as your name. On-line payments to Certichron for its services are typically handled through third party service providers. This Privacy Policy does not cover personal information collected by such third party service providers (registered users should contact the service provider for a copy of the applicable policy).
As part of any activity on Certichron.com and USTiming, Certichron will automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie, the time you accessed the site and the page you requested. In addition, Certichron also automatically receives and records information on our server logs relating to any access to Certichron time servers such as IP address, user authentication information, time, etc.
Certichron uses this information for operational security, auditing of the use of the time services and anonymous reporting. For example, Certichron may use this information to diagnose or service technology problems reported by our users or engineers that are associated with the IP addresses controlled by a specific web company or ISP or to estimate the total number of users visiting Certichron from specific geographical regions. Certichron may also use the registered user's email address for notification of significant system events, account renewals or the resolution of service issues.
Additionally, if a registered user specifically opts in, email addresses may also be used to notify registered users of Certichron's products and services or for service improvement and research.
We limit access to personal information about registered users to our employees or contractors who we believe reasonably need to use that information to provide products or services to you.
Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier which is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's browser cookie cache. You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. If you reject all cookies, you will not be able to use or take full advantage of Certichron's products or services that require you to "sign in".

- Conduct general research to improve Certichron's content and services.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Certichron will never rent or sell the personal information of registered users without the specific approval of the user ("opt-in").
Generally, Certichron does not share personal information about registered users with other people or non-affiliated companies without the user's consent, except:
- If the user has requested a specific Certichron product or service and Certichron uses a third party to provide a portion of that product or service, such as the use of payment processors to handle credit card and other charges. - It may be necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal or unpermitted activities, including without limitation, fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Certichron's terms of use, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
- Certichron may transfer information about registered users if Certichron is acquired by or merged with another company.
Editing and Deleting Account Information.
You can change your Certichron account information, at any time. You can delete your Certichron account at any time from your account page, however, please note that your personal information may remain in Certichron's records for some period.
Access to registered user personal information on Certichron.com, USTiming.org and Certichron time servers is password-protected. In certain areas, Certichron may use SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Certichron may
update this policy at any time for any reason. If there are any significant
changes to how we handle personal information we will send a notice either to
your the email address used to register your Certichron account or by placing a
