NYC Network Terminus

TELX’s 60 Hudson St hosts the second NYC Regional Timing Center and provides a dual-service LOOP-1 & LOOP2 Anchor Services for the NY/NJ Time Services VLAN Certichron and its partners are building.

The USTiming.ORG side of the UTC(NIST) infrastructure provides the penultimate 15 USC 272 based timescale instance and the layer 2 and layer 3 packaging enables 999 Frontier as a full service center.

Commercial Services

• Layer-3 Timing:
  • NTP/PTP for per server and public-anonymous access
  • Private Access – Multicast PTP
  • Private Access – Unicast NTP and PTP
• Layer-2 VLAN access: Per Site through NYI backbone services – includes dark fiber and all broadband, including MPLS and Pseudo Wire type connections.

Layer-2 Cross-Connect/Access Points

60 Hudson is emerging as Certichron’s new key point of presence to distribute time around its key service infrastructure and to meet any foreign traffic needing access to UTC(NIST) as part of its transit to the US. The Data Center is located in TELX Operations at 60 Hudson St NYC and provides NY with a key Telco Hotel with superior networking facilities.

Open Internet (Layer-3) Access

The public access (on-net) side of the site is provided through the blended bandwidth of PERSEUS and CFN with a cross connect to NEW YORK INTERNET. This provides the local (NYC area access) for the transit for USTIMINING.ORG (nist1-ny.ustiming.org) which we operate.
